Abstract
I would like to mention here only a few facts about my activities at the Hebrew University during my teaching years 1929–1931. My students were indeed very talented but rather few in number. Still, they made up 10–20 % of the entire student body of around 200 at that time, and their interest gave me great satisfaction. On the other hand it did not take long before I too recognized the weaknesses of the administration that had pushed Einstein and later Weizmann into the opposition.
