Abstract

Originally, Abraham (Adolf) HaLevi Fraenkel had planned to write a three-volume autobiography, of which this would have been the first volume. He died prior to writing the subsequent two volumes, the subjects of which were to be his life after leaving Germany and immigrating to Israel in 1933. The first volume, presented here, was written in German, whereas he had intended to write the latter two in Hebrew. The second volume was intended to cover the years from his arrival in the land of Israel (Palestine) in 1933 until the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948; the last volume would have covered the years thereafter. This epilogue summarizes the events of his life after 1933.
